Il territorio comunale è compreso all'interno dei Monti Marsicani ed in parte entro il Parco nazionale d'Abruzzo. Scanno è nota come la Città dei fotografi: i suoi inconfondibili scorci e la sua gente sono stati lungo tutto il Novecento i soggetti di tanti famosi scatti realizzati da Henri Cartier-Bresson, Mario Giacomelli, Renzo Tortelli, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Ferdinando Scianna e molti altri

Caro Vittorio di soli tetti ne ho molte, questa è l'inquadratura classica di Scanno, quella che mi è rimasta nella memoria perché vista pubblicata più volte sulle riviste di fotografia, ma se trovo spazio in questa galleria provo a inserirne una di soli tetti.
