Il Sole tramonta sui laghi. In primo piano il Lago di Varese, dietro, a sinistra il Lago di Comabbio e sulla destra il Lago di Monate; sullo sfondo, uno scorcio del Lago Maggiore. Nella skyline delle cime, svetta la punta del Monviso (m. 3.841 slm). Nonostante ci sia scritto (per mio errore) "scattata a mano libera", in effetti ho usato il treppiede.
