Thank you for paying a visit to my photos Catherine and for leaving your opinion appreciated :-)
The Pinnacles Desert is really particular Western Australia area that extends from the inside up to coast along the Indian Ocean. Inside there are some very easy trails that can be tackled with any car, in some places the landscape is truly spectacular, you can also meet some native species such as Emu completely free and do not have much fear of man.
A greeting
Baldassarre

Hello Andrea, thanks for visiting :) No we can not climb, are protected, are not very high, mostly between the meter and 5/6 meters the highest.
Except for a small miniature headland offering a wider flat surface and a beautiful view to the sea.

Hello Catherine I was in Australia at the end of October last year, for a couple of weeks, now I find myself in Senegal for work. I will try to propose some shots if I can overcome the laziness :-D
A greeting
Baldassarre

Thanks for the ride Bal TheBlackbird :-)

you happen to know how they are formed?

If I remember correctly, confirming what was said by TheBlackbird , somebody asserts that it should be the remnants of a fossilized forest, they had told me about a great prehistoric fire tamed by a sandstorm which then gave rise to these unusual formations.

I can not say what foundation this assertion, let alone if is true that it is fossilized trees.
My personal impression, I'm done walking for a nice stretch in the park is that it is a particular rock formation that suggests that in prehistoric times was originally could beIt was a forest, but objectively I have no evidence to that effect.
Greetings to you :)

Paolo P The pinnacles desert is a beautiful place that is definitely worth a visit for the richness of the microclimate (the desert that meets the Indian Ocean) and for the variety of animal species that inhabit it.
I lived for 5 years in W. Australia, I was fascinated by it, for the genuineness of the people, for the ease and quality of life, for their philosophy that always puts the human being first and then everything else, to never get angry and always find a functional solution.
A place that, to be young, where it would really be worth living that is totally different from the hectic "Western" life we know.

Great Paul I believe that for those who have not known Western Australia, and the Northern Territory, it is very difficult to imagine what we are talking about, so far from the "logic" in which we Westerners of the old continent are caged.
