Nei giorni in cui il cielo è sereno e limpido, si può godere dal piazzale della Basilica di Superga della splendida vista sulla catena alpina e sulla città di Torino. Un suggestivo panorama che è possibile ammirare anche dall'alto della cupola della Basilica, riaperta dopo quasi cinquant'anni di inaccessibilità. In particolare noterete alcuni dei principali monti della catena delle Alpi, come il Monviso, il Gruppo dell'Orsiera, il Rocciamelone, il Gran paradiso, il Gruppo degli Apostoli, la Torre di Lavina, e il Monte Rosa con la punta Doufour. Si accede dalla base del tamburo della cupola attraverso una porta dell'aula centrale della Basilica; la scala juvarriana di 137 gradini permette di raggiungere la sovrastante balconata in pietra posta a 672 metri di altitudine.
