Per osservazione visuale si usa 'AstroSolar' D 5 che può essere usato anche per fotografare il Sole.
Questi filtri sono forniti in fogli A4 e da essi si ricava il filtro che deve coprire tutta l'apertura dell'obiettivo.
Questi filtri specifici NON sono filtri ND in vetro.
Il filtro D 3.8 ha un valore ND 8192 circa.
Esempio un filtro in vetro ND 16 ha un valore D=1.2 (brucia il sensore!)
