Christchurch Priory's 4,000 Pipe Organ, awaiting professional recitalist Timothy Ravalde, assistant organist at Chichester Cathedral, for a special lunchtime concert, today. Mostly Bach and Handel and other such twiddly stuff... |

Looks like you can play by numbers! :) Great image - love the fish-eye distortion! |

I SO wanted Rick Wakeman to let rip on it, Ann, I really did! I wanted something a little different today and I think I got it! Plus some nice other, more ordinary ones too. |

I didn't leave the house in the end, the weather was so abysmal. I took some shots inside the minster yesterday that I'd hoped to get another go at today but it will have to wait. I would have loved Rick Wakeman, too! I went to listen to him perform 'Journey to the Centre of the Earth' at Crystal Palace many years ago when I was a teenager and you will have been but a boy! :)) |

I was thinking more him on 'Awaken' on Yes's album Going For the One, recorded on a church organ in Switzerland! |

He's a great performer - I'll google it and have a listen! I love your description of his music....... |

It's one of those 10 minute epics, so you might not listen to the right part... |

I like that Lorenzo - a smiling organ! Must be that the white keys become teeth and the curvature from the lens the smile. |
