"IL MI HORTO" è in realtà l'orto di mio suocero che se n'è andato alcuni anni fà. Da quel giorno un nostro vicino di casa, Mariano con l'aiuto di suo fratello Cesare, senza che nessuno avesse loro chiesto niente e senza nessuna contropartita si occupano in maniera straordinaria del loro e anche del nostro orto, che peraltro ha una superficie di circa 2000 metri e quindi costituisce un impegno fisico e di tempo non indifferente. "Mariano" è un autentico mago nel trattare qualsiasi tipo di pianta anche se sconosciuta e malandata, è dotato di una speciale sensibiltà che lo porta a fare prosperare ogni vegetale. Un'altro suo straordinario pregio è che assieme a frutti di ogni tipo, ortaggi delle più svariate qualità, pensate che solo di pomodori ne coltiva una decina di qualità diverse, producendo persino i semi che sono tutti rigorosamente selezionati da lui e mai, assolutante mai provenienti da allevamenti o negozi, coltiva anche svariatissime qualità di fiori anche "selvatici". Tutto questo lui lo fà con un amore ed una passione assolutamente ammirevoli, gratificandosi solo con il piacere di verderci godere di questa autentica bellezza non solo culinaria ma anche fotografica!!!!!
