Uno scatto autunnale della faggeta di Bosco Sant'Antonio. La faggeta si estende ricoprendo interamente la vallata tra Monte Pizzalto e Monte Rotella, nell'Abruzzo più interno e segreto. Uno scrigno di incomparabile bellezza naturalistica. E' facilmente raggiungibile superando Sulmona in direzione Pettorano sul Gizio/Roccaraso (SS17) e deviando sulla sx in direzione di Cansano/Campo di Giove. Arrivati al piccolo abitato di Cansano, ci sono le indicazioni stradali e già dalle prime curve dopo il paese l'occhio si delizia degli splendidi scenari naturali. Percorsi poco meno di dieci km, all'altezza di un piccolo ristorantino sulla sx, ci sono numerose piazzole di sosta e, lasciata la macchina, si possono effettuare passeggiate sotto faggi di ogni forma, alcuni probabilmente secolari e di dimensioni veramente ragguardevoli.
