You made it - and the sun came out! I like the depth here, Ann, helped by the silhouetted trunks. Perhaps I'd crop a sliver from the bottom though.

Not sure we're talking about the same leaf! But as a general rule, bright (er) objects, whatever size are best not cut through the middle of, as they become distracting and can take the eye out of the frame. I also think there's just a little too much base and so a little can be taken off.

I sure do like the red glows in the distance too, of course.
