Opinione puramente personale.
Vero che la fotografia è fatta anche di ombre per dare profondità, ma credo in questo genere sia meglio il più possibile annullarle quando possibile. L'impiego del flash o di un pannello diffusore lo troverei molto utile per smorzare le ombre mettendo così in risalto i dettagli.
