La foto è molto bella!
Dato che siamo nell'area commento, aggiungo una considerazione: non so se di fronte c'era un'altra ringhiera utilizzabile; ma secondo me, in queste immagini in cui lo sfondo svolge un ruolo non trascurabile, è più bello tenere il soggetto a destra.
Esempio (chiedo venia all'autore):
Di solito lo sguardo va da sinistra verso destra, e ha modo di apprezzare lo sfondo raggiungendo gradualmente il soggetto.
Opinione personale, ovviamente.

Non c'è assolutamente motivo per chiedere venia, sono qui apposta per imparare! 
Non conoscevo questa chicca di composizione, effettivamente anche a me sembra più gradevole con il soggetto a destra, l'unica soluzione però era quella di specchiarla come hai fatto tu, perché se mi fossi messo dall'altra parte a fotografare avrei avuto un palazzo non molto bello sullo sfondo.

I did not know this gem of composition, actually to me it seems more enjoyable with the right person, but the only solution was to mirror it as you did, because if I put on the other side I had to photograph a building not very nice background.

Io ovviamente l'ho fatto con un click in Photoshop (nel menu "Immagine > Rotazione immagine", ho scelto "Rifletti quadro orizzontale"). Non so se è etico farlo.
Non so se sullo spostamento la pensano tutti allo stesso modo. Qualcuno sostiene che funziona con i soggetti occidentali, che leggono da destra verso sinistra e trovano naturale muovere lo sguardo in quella direzione. Potrebbe non valere per chi legge al contrario....
Per quanto mi riguarda, l'aspetto qualificante della foto rimane in entrambe le versioni: il fatto che il soggetto sia venuto bene, la luce sia diffusa al punto al giusto e lo sfondo sfocato mantenga elementi di interesse.

Sì ovviamente sono piccoli dettagli, ma comunque un'altra foto di questa galleria (quella del ragazzo seduto sul molo) l'avevo specchiata perché mi ispirava di più che stesse a destra, ma in questa non ci ho pensato, sarà perché questa via mi è talmente familiare che mi fa strano vederla al contrario ahahah
