Ha! You've gone and got the very lens that I'm getting tomorrow! Incredible value for its performance, I'm lead to believe. And yes, you're right, I'm not at all into special effects in Photoshop as so few, if any, actually enhance a photo. But, this actually works and is quite nice and the position of the swirl and colours are just right, so a thumbs up from me. I did post up two images at different times yesterday with neither getting much response. The misty landscape, I removed a whole Volvo estate car (standing next to A36!) and half a tree (which was clogging up top left corner. I also did some pixel 'weeding', to give some breathing space to the tree at its base, that was my subject. Now, that jolly lot took a long time to Photoshop! The other was a colourful nightscene under a crescent moon in Andover. |

Thanks for your comment, Tim - the positioning of the swirl and the colours were what received most of my attention, enhancing the colour of the central leaf a little, so that it didn't get lost in the swirls! I've had this lens a little while now and suddenly realised I hadn't used it recently! I've no idea what you mean by pixel 'weeding' but it certainly sounds as if you put a lot of work in! I did that today with a sunrise image that, in the end, I decided not to post.... :) |

The picture reminds me also the musical production of Pink Floyd, whose suggestions have profoundly influenced me in my youth. :-) La foto mi ricorda molto anche la produzione musicale dei Pink Floyd, le cui suggestioni mi hanno profondamente influenzato in gioventù. |

Thanks very much for your great comment, Claudio! If I remember rightly, this was a bit of fun on a rainy day when I thought I would learn some more about what could be achieved in Photoshop Elements. I enjoyed the learning process and was pleased with the end result. I remember enjoying Pink Floyd but didn't see the production :) |
