Colgo l'occasione per dire che è un esemplare femmina,spiegatomi qualche giorno fa da un grande appassionato di avifauna, lo si capisce dal colore rosso della parte inferiore del becco e dai colori.
Il maschio possiede il becco inferiore scuro e i colori delle piume danno su un più intenso blu.
