La Batteria Chaberton prende il nome dall'omonimo monte. Dall'alto dei suoi 3130 metri il forte era considerato indistruttibile da parte delle artiglierie nemiche, tutto ciò al momento della sua costruzione nel 1898, nel 1940 le cose però erano già diverse e fu così che la mattina del 21 giugno i francesi con quattro obici cominciarono a far saltare una dopo l'altra 6 delle 8 batterie di cui era dotato il forte che poco dopo venne abbandonato. Oggi quel territorio è passato alla Francia, il forte è stato smantellato ma con un pò di cautela è ancora possibile visitarlo . #Fortezze #Castelli #Castles
