Agree with you Richard, I have experience in long focal length what I miss especially in digital and split image as in my analog, and that does not exist in my own I tried but nothing! And very comfortable lenses without AF and in this case would be useful in combination with an old, bright focal, which let's face it there are at very competitive prices ..... naturally considering the fact that they were not born for digital ....
