Dalle prime apparizioni nei territori di Dolceacqua e quelli a ridosso del confine francese, passando poi a quelli di Sanremo e tutto l'imperiese e il basso Piemonte, ora l'insetto ha raggiunto il savonese e, sembra, il comune di Genova. Facile prevederne gli sviluppi in termine di colonizzazione, più difficile ma neanche troppo prevedere il danno ambientale ed economico che deriverà da questa gravissima situazione. In Francia, da dove è partita "l'invasione", e più specificamente a Nizza, i danni sono stati davvero considerevoli.
Ho ritenuto importante parlarne qui perché la denuncia di avvistamento è fondamentale e tra i tanti appassionati del genere un passaparola sarebbe davvero di grande aiuto. Esiste un sito creato appositamente dall'Università di Torino per monitorare la colonizzazione del territorio italiano da parte della Velutina, sembra di poca importanza ma assolutamente non lo è e i tanti appassionati di questo genere di fotografia potrebbero essere un'importante risorsa sparsa sul territorio.
Anzi...io auspicherei che nel forum l'argomento venisse evidenziato in modo da agevolare il lavoro delle persone che stanno affrontando con le proprie forze questa emergenza, magari collaborando attivamente con il docente dell'Ateneo torinese che sta studiando gli sviluppi della situazione.
