Il Codone Guancebianche (Anas Bahamensis, White-cheeked Pintail) è un'anatra di medie dimensioni con guance e gola bianche ed il resto del piumaggio marrone chiaro con chiazze marrone scuro; il becco è grigio-azzurro con due chiazze rosse attorno alle narici. È originario delle Grandi e Piccole Antille; è diffuso anche nelle regioni settentrionali del Sudamerica e, in misura minore, nel Sud della Florida. Esiste anche una popolazione endemica delle isole Galapagos. Abita paludi, lagune salmastre, insenature marine, estuari, stagni occasionalmente d'acqua dolce e laghi poco profondi. #wild
