Giustissimo Carlo; è per quello appunto che avevo pensato al lanario, salvo ricredermi per la sede dello scatto. Rimane il gheppio ma resto perplesso perché il soggetto della foto mi sembra sovradimensionato per questa ipotesi e soluzioni diverse le vedo problematiche. Avanti comunque con altri pareri .

Gheppio lo escludo...sia x come volava...sia x la forma delle ali...sia x i colori...ma soprattutto x la testa... Ha il tipico "baffo" nero in basso del pellegrino...o lanario...o lodolaio.
Poi...volava sopra 2000mt di altezza...tra costoni rocciosi che arrivano a 3500mt...e sono riuscito a fotografarlo solo perché si era "abbassato"...
Ero in Val Rhemes...siamo andati al rifugio Benevolo a 2285mt.

Kestrel rule it out ... let x as it flew ... x the shape of the wings ... both xi colors ... but above your head ... x has the typical "whisker" black on the bottom of the pilgrim ... Lanner or ... or lodolaio.
... Then he flew over 2000m in height ... between rocky ridges that reach 3500mt ... and managed to photograph it because it was "down" ...

Comunque concordo con Carlobay: Gheppio. Probabilmente femmina adulta visto che, a differenza dei maschi, si intravvedono le righe sulla coda, e le macchie sul corpo arrivano fino alla pancia. Bisogna considerare che questa specie è comune fino ai 2000 mt e sporadicamente arriva fino ai 3000 mt. I falchi tipo Pellagrino e Lanario hanno disegni diversi ma soprattutto una "siluette" più massiccia. Ciao

However I agree with Carlobay: Kestrel. Probably adult female seen that, unlike the males, they can be glimpsed the lines on the tail, and the spots on the body come up to the belly. We must consider that this species is common up to 2000 meters and occasionally comes up to 3000 meters. The hawks like tanner and Lanner have different designs but also a "silhouette" more massive. Propendo anch'io per il gheppio, che viene dato per nidificante in Vallle d'Aosta fino a 2850 metri.
Escludo il pellegrino, per via del baffo, e il lanario, per via della quota.

direi anch'io gheppio. Sto confrontando una foto di un libro e sono praticamente identici, sopratutto per la sfumatura scura selle estremità delle ali. In quanto al modo di volare, ha tratto in inganno anche me più di una volta al punto che, pur guardando bene le foto, ero convinto che non fosse lui...un amico del PNAM ha smontato tutte le mie ipotesi, confermando che era il gheppio.
