Shooting Birdlife in London! sent on September 04, 2015 (11:01) by Timk2. 15 comments, 2001 views. [retina]

, 1/1600 f/8.0, ISO 800, hand held. London, United Kingdom.

Most people shoot birds with a 500mm lens in the countryside... I was immediately drawn to this long line of street-lights leading to London Bridge, early summer's morning. The lens is my old Catadioptric Tamron SP 500mm which has a fixed aperture, so no control over depth of field and not the best sharpness either, but as a pattern picture, I think it works, especially with that glowing, red crane.

Thank you Ezio - not so sure it does, but one has to try, doesn't one?

Thank you Mattew - in a congested capital city, the equivalent to 750mm gives quite a restricted but very tight view.

Thank you Tan, ys, the red crane adds a leaning in counterpoint to all those other uprights on the right.

The old glories always work, I had the 500mm Tamr. catadiotr. mount Pentax and also gave me great satisfaction. The points of light blurred circular were a marvel. He had little incision, but I liked the same. :-)
hello Stefano

ah .. sorry the photos .... and how it can be a picture of Tim if not amazing.
