Love the focus on this. I think I've only seen the Post Office Tower from between buildings - this is a much better vantage point! |

Thank you Ann, the view from Primrose Hill is a must! I also have 'Cranes of London' on Juza taken from here. I shot this whilst approaching up hill so I have not reached the top yet. The tower looms large cos of the 300mm (450mm on DX) foreshortening. If you've the time, then you can walk to Camden along Regents Canal - or at least, that is what I did. Chalk Farm Stn is nearest to Primrose Hill. You could also visit London Zoo or other parts of Regents Park, which is spread out beneath you from the hill |

That's a part of London I don't know at all! I recognise all of the names but have visited none of them (except London Zoo, as a child!). Another thing to add to the 'to do' list! |

That's the great thing about the place - there is SO much to do and places to go. All my Camden shots were taken after this, again, making advantage over Blip, with its one a day rule. BTW, I don't think Juza as a community particularly appreciate zoo-kept animals and with so many wonderfully natural wild bird and animal shots on the site, that is little wonder. Just a tip, if you do get to visit a zoo and want to post up zillions of images, |

Ah, yes - I'd forgotten you'd mentioned Camden - I have been there with my camera, although it must be two or three years ago now and I suspect I would no longer be satisfied with the images that I took. You appear not to have finished your last sentence.... Or maybe you did but hit the comma by mistake. Thanks, Tim. I, too, would prefer to see animals in the wild but will settle for in captivity, if they are appropriately accommodated, rather than not at all. I realise that photos always need to be labelled so that people are aware if the animals are in captivity. |

I often seem to hit the comma instead of the full stop. I use an illuminated keyboard that does not illuminate!! (properly, or evenly). I do raise that last issue cos when I was submitting the Bath as a location, there were some guidelines about what constituted a place worthy of 'excellent photographic interest' and one stipulation was that a zoo would not count towards that! Just posted a nice Bath crescent pic from 2010 which shows how great it can look. I have been unlucky with weather of late and these last two months of so, I'd have to get a bus from Westbury as the railway tracks were being upgraded/electrified and so were completely closed. |
