Ottima maf sull'insetto, che però non è una vespa, ma una mosca (Sirfide) che con la loro colorazione appariscente, imitano quella degli imenotteri aculeati. L'esemplare fotografato credo che sia una:
Sphaerophoria scripta (che ovviamente non ha nessun pungiglione)
Uno dei caratteri morfologici evidenti, per distinguere subito una mosca colorata da una vespa/ape, è guardare le antenne, che nei sirfidi sono sempre molto corte, mentre apidi e vespidi le hanno lunghe e articolate.

Excellent maf on the insect, which is not a wasp, but a fly (Sirfide) with which are brightly colored, mimic that of stinging wasps. The specimen photographed think it is a:
Sphaerophoria scripta (which of course has no sting)
One of the obvious morphological characters to distinguish a fly immediately colored by a wasp / bee, is to look at the antennas, which in hoverflies are always very short, while the vespid apidi and have long and articulated.
