Per quanto tu ti difenda bene a mano libera visto la foto sfornata, credo che l'utilizzo del cavalletto a livello dettaglio potrà darti sicuramente con tutte le difficoltà del caso, altre soddisfazioni.

A mano libera già un'ottimo lavoro, e cmq avevi lo stabilizzatore. Con il cavalletto potrai tenere gli ISO al minimo, ed avere dei dettagli ancora maggiori.
Complimenti, già così è ottima, quindi vai di tripod.
