The clock is ticking .... sent on May 06, 2012 (12:12) by Nordend4612. 15 comments, 1845 views.

, 5 sec f/22.0, ISO 100, tripod. New York, United States.

;) Bella foto

P.s.
Come hai fatto senza cavalletto? Eri appoggiato a qualcosa?

Nice idea to combine a long exposure with a stationary subject .. And you got that worked well ... ;) Nice picture

Ps
How did you manage without a tripod? You were leaning on something?

Assuming that I love Grand Central Terminal station is really the dream of all ... I think this photo is really spectacular effect it looks great and gives me a sense of the passage of time and when they happen to not realize why we remain fixed with the mere thought of something or someone. I really like this good that you have loaded:-D

Ciao Fabio e ciao Giulia.

Ciao!

Hello hello Giulia and Fabio. I'm glad you like it! It was an idea I had in mind for a long time and I was lucky that the guy in the middle has remained virtually stationary hoped ...... but the sides were moving more! :-D

Fabio: I've taken without a tripod, by placing the machine on the railing of the stairs, you can see the mirror in the stairway to the bottom of the station to the center of the photo. Up until center is just fine for shots like this. Attach a tripod was uncomfortable for the comings and goings of people, other photographers who try various shots of the station and the police could ask for explanations (never happened but heard).
Thanks again compliments.

Hello!

Ciao, STe.

I like this kind of photos you are working on the timing. Here the result is definitely good ... just lacks a little sharpness, but with the unit on you can not do miracles ;-). Good composition. Hello, STe.

Confermo, a me è successo che mi abbiano chiesto cosa fotografavo negli USA!

I agree, it happened to me to be asked what I photographed in the USA!

Thank you all for your very welcome comments. Indeed mana a bit of sharpness, but unfortunately I had to close the aperture to the maximum acceptable time for UNJ .... I was also the filter 10 stops but the time became the Bible! :-D I've tried various shots and I chose this because it gave me what I was looking for a person or firm with other moving ..... although I would have preferred more movement from the surrounding crowd. I put it in BN then because I love it so, making the idea that I set for myself. Thanks again for all the compliments!

@ Marcofarina: you really asked why photographing? in NY? my mother that stuff ..... I already I was thrilled when I got the tripod sull'empire requirement ....

I think it would have been perfect if all moved except the person standing in the center. Maybe with multiple shots and then fitting with PS ...

Ciao Ranmairs.

Hello Ranmairs. Actually my idea was that! But I had a dispute with the guy at the center because it is not moving for a long seen that in 5 seconds did not move then so many people! :-D
The idea of ??multiple shots instead intrigues me, I try to see what I can get us out ..... thanks for the tip and comment!

At the very least, a bit of motion blur selective about who really did not want to move ;-)

Hello I like the compo, I think classic, and the choice of long times that as written has allowed you to detach the still subject from those in motion.
Excellent idea and result found and guaranteed, enhanced by the choice of bn.
congratulations.

Thanks Simone!
Unfortunately you could not use the tripod ... also because they all move in a frantic way ... I had to lean on a balustrade of the staircase.
Famous place and hyper photographed also this but always beautiful.
