Trovo questo ragno di ragguardevole dimensione simile ad altri almeno due ripresi in altre parti del globo, di cui uno postato nella mia cartella "Vanuatu 2013" e l'altro in "macro e natura", anche se i colori direi differiscano un poco.
Penserei quindi siano di una famiglia comune.

I find this spider of considerable size similar to at least two others in other parts of the globe, including one posted in my folder "Vanuatu in 2013" and the other "macro and nature", although the colors I would differ slightly.
I would think are therefore in a joint family.

Questi aracnidi, da pochi anni sono stati riclassificati in una nuova famiglia che si chiama Nephilidae, mentre prima erano considerati come Tetragnathidae. Non sono infrequenti questi "cambiamenti" tra gli esseri viventi, specialmente tra gli Artropodi, molti studi sono il "frutto" di ricerche genetiche effettuate sulle varie specie sia animali/vegetali, che spesso portano a risultati fino a pochi anni fa impensabili/irrealizzabili.
Mi sto dilungando troppo..., comunque il tuo bel ragno giapponese si chiama:
Nephila clavata
