D'orata significa dell'orata intesa come pesce. Dorata (senza apostrofo!) significa ricoperta d'oro (come penso sia il vero significato che volevi dare).
Scusa la pedanteria, ma almeno nei titoli...

On bream seabream it means intended as fish. Golden (without apostrophe!) It means covered in gold (as I think is the true meaning you wanted to).

grazie a tutti per i commenti è stato uno scatto colto in pochi secondi, per caso alzando lo sguardo, perchè la maggior parte dei monaci medita e prega alla base della pagoda e non capita spesso di vederli percorrere i piani della cupola. Poi la luce del tramonto a fatto il resto. Un bel colpo di fortuna E grazie anche per la segnalazione del refuso ma prima era d'oro poi... d'orata, caricando di corsa la foto per scappare al canile approfittando della tregua di pioggia era rimasto l'apostrofo
