at 400mm, 1/800 f/8.0, ISO 1600, hand held.

Aspetto suggerimenti ulteriori e critiche!

Although it is the first time you have guessed the background is very blurred, PDR is right and the person I find it a bit soft that lacks detail, however, can be my feeling.

Thanks Alberto for the pleasant visit and for the comment!
... I find it a little soft ...
you're right but one of the most common criticisms I get is for the use of sharp, so sometimes they are a little 'inhibited! Also consider that here there is a fairly good crop and 10 megs of 1d iii some 'punish ...
In any case, even for the advice, good Sunday!

The early rising has given you a good result. I always said that to get risulati must suffer, and how much you have to suffer.
Bravo nice shoot.

aumenterei the contrast medium, in my monitor I see a tad bit softer and then would open the highlights (IMHO) ;-)

Thanks Paul for the visit and for the comment! Softness I have already said, let's say I have a problem with the sharp, or too much or too little! Thanks for the advice, hello!

Beautiful! Compliments! If I may ... let it be criticism for the use of sharp or not and not inibirti .... the pictures must first of pleasure to you :-) In birds I see are highly appreciated the detail and sharpness. Hello! Paul

Firstly congratulations on your first capture of kingfisher. As for the contrast (not critical but advice) also I see the subject a bit '"planed" like I have exaggerated with noise reduction. Nice furnished the background. Greetings Mark

... quoto Paul ...

it's all there, the right balance (as in all things) between definition and noise reduction, I just started to handle it, I will say publicly who taught me, when I will produce a good result, to avoid negative publicity !!!
