Salve a tutti.

Hello everyone. Let me explain the reasons that led me to publish this photo, and choose it as a gift to make this forum a little 'to thank the more than one hundred thousand visits, a little' to thank our Admin for the space that allows us to use freely ...
I think this is one of the best pictures that I (if not the nicest), despite its imperfections. For sure it was a shot difficult.
I think that first of all some explanation is necessary to clarify the context in which I took exactly one year ago, after twenty-four days in neonatal intensive care, Viola was freeing of all the machines and tubes that had enabled him to get in there with a surprising strength. That morning I had brought the car with me hoping to see a bit 'smarterin the usual and maybe we can catch some decent photos for grandparents (who had seen only through a glass too often to give even s'idea a contact) and for the friends who asked her and they could only imagine what it was trying to rebuild his little face among the myriad of equipment and smeared pixels of our phones.
I did not expect that I would be able to catch a smile, but the instinct of children sometimes goes live with the feelings that we know and send you believe that in that kiss Mom had concentrated all the tenderness and love possible. Nothing prepared, my wife was giving her a basin before going out to greet her and eat something I had the camera in my hand and I took.
Whenever I feel proud about this photo. Proud to be near "du and women "so strong and proud a little 'me too ... even as a photographer or amateur photographer or something, perhaps more as a man, because this image reminds me that after twenty-four days TIN not my hands were shaking.
I hope you understand that by publishing this shot I want neither disturb nor provoke anyone. I do not try avalanche of comments gooders or like.
I would really like to thank you, give you a part of me that inevitably do not know and if possible to pass on at least a small part of my emotions of that thirtieth of a second.
For me as well as a lasting impression this image is a document, the victory of a team of people, doctors, nurses, who gave everything to get to the most important goal that should exist: the life of the nostre children.
Sorry if I have dwelt a bit '... maybe I this photo overestimate the -D

To complete the discussion, Violet is well now, it exceeded most of its problems and is always smiling. It has a cromosomino more that the company will always, but as in everything that gives us the nature of the small imperfections make a real beauty.

Honestly, you've moved. The photo for me is beautiful, with an intensity addictive. Exudes love, tenderness and motherhood. I do a great good luck to you, for a happy paternity, the mother of course, because he can enjoy your creature, and, last but not least the beautiful Viola (the middle name of my daughter ...), for life of happiness with his family. A big hug. Matthew.

I see many awesome pictures here. However, I believe that the photo-taking skills can be improved if you make much efforts. Capturing the great moment needs some instinct and luck ...

Many of great pictures posted here often leave me a question - "So, what ?". Not many pictures deliver a clear message, but your picture truly does!

All the Mom and Dad seeing your picture will understand how you and your wife feel! (I'm a father of two children.) Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture with us. Your picture made my day!

Have you seen Edvard Munch's painting "The sick child"? I would be dare to say that your photo is the 21st century version of it!

Thank Francoia, MattewX, Soriana, FeelingMinnesota and who focused a bit 'on this photo.
I do not know whether it is comparable to a Munch masterpiece, but for sure the message comes through loud, clear and positive. -D

Beyond all technicalities and all the technology that is rampant in photography a photograph must convey emotions and this has to sell ....... for you, that you are the father of this beautiful baby girl and for us that besides being photo enthusiasts are above all men ...... men who have a heart and for whom it is impossible not to get excited in front of a photograph and a life story like this.
I am also the father of a baby of 18 months and it is inexplicable love we feel for our children, you can tell as soon as they become parents and see for the first time your child .... you are right to be proud, your child has fought and won the first great battle of his life, thanks to the love you and your wife ..... good! Purple and good! I am very happy now that's okay, I do a great good luck for the whole family and I wish you a lifeof happiness.
I wrote one breath ...... hope I have not said rubbish! -D
But I wanted that, for once, the feelings got the upper hand on technicalities and tencologia.
For me great shot .... than to keep for a lifetime.

Congratulations and good life! ;-)

@ Milo182 ... unless the wolf and I thank you :-)

Thanks David, good life to you, I read in one breath and I saw rubbish, indeed :-) Convey emotions for me is the princpio on which rests the art. This picture speaks of our experience, but everyone has their own reality and difficulties they face continually. Stories of our most tortuous there are avalanches, the difficulty is to always find the strength to get out. We are enough smiles of Viola. When we met with other parents or out of the department always we smiled at us, regardless of the situation.
Among people we are also able to do this: let us strength to each other. Especially when it's hard.
Sometimes about photos of those moments trying to decontestualizzarle, to beas objective as possible. When I succeed, in addition to the emotions and fatigue, I see strength in its purest form. One that every individual is able to find within himself and transmit to others.

Famiglia Da Prato reciprocate the hug :-)

Hello Mauro, Massimo hello, thanks for putting your attention on this picture and for your words, I agree that it has a wonderful smile ... you should see it: -D: -D: -D on a swing
Also I think it's an image that can not ignore the caption, but it seemed proper to introduce it in some way to avoid misunderstanding of any kind.
Greetings and see you soon!

A photo crazy, high-impact and sensitivity ... the explanation was not important, the pictures I already had very moved, but the words you wrote are really beautiful, you see that come from the heart and affect much. When a shot is able to move (like this) all the imperfections fade into the background. Thank you for sharing with the forum this shot and this particular time of your life.
Congratulations for the photo, congratulations to you as a parent and a big hello to your beautiful little ;-)
