Queste vasche per la raccolta dell'acqua piovana si trovano nei sotterranei del Real Alcazar di Siviglia. La storia narra che Pietro I di Castiglia, detto il crudele, si invaghì di Maria Padilla e fece uccidere il marito. La signora per sfuggire alle avances si gettò dell'olio bollente in faccia, in questo luogo, e successivamente divenne suora diventando simbolo di purezza per le persone di fede cristiana della zona.
