Did you have a tracker?

PhotoNik no tracker, just a clear sky with very little light pollution (the village is the only source of light for many kilometers).. the Milky Way could clearly be seen with the naked eye :-)
Tho I pulled out some detail thanks to PP brightness masks ;-)

The question was only because I saw the very point stars and to me with 30 sec do not come so!!
Thank you for your response and many compliments for the beautiful photo.

It depends on the focus you use. Here I used a 14mm on fullframe so 30 seconds are still fine (but I'm at the limit, if you look at the corners of the image you notice a bit of the wake effect)! At 16mm it would be better to stay on 25 seconds and so on. On the net you will find tables that give you the time limit for each focal point for the stars.
Thanks for congratulations :-)

Thanks for the information. I'm a star neophyte, and that's very useful information.
