La "Sedonera". Nelle vallate si sviluppò, una particolare attività artigianale di produzione di articoli in legno confezionati a domicilio durante i lunghi periodi invernali chiusi in stalla per non morire di freddo. Si trattava soprattutto di posate, mestoli, setacci, pestelli, ciotole per il sale e spinelli da botte ed altri articoli per uso domestico, che venivano portati in primavera per essere venduti nella pianura friulana dalle donne chiamate appunto con il soprannome di "Sedonere" (da sedons = cucchiai). Gli oggetti erano venduti o frequentemente scambiati con farina da polenta, lardo e vino. Dai primi di marzo a fine maggio le donne rientravano per la fienagione e poi ripartivano non andando quasi mai sole, spesso madre e figlia, con gerle, cassette sulle spalle o tirando un carretto.
