Ponte Buriano, Arezzo ... 26 07 2015 ... Chi ha avuto la possibilità di osservare da vicino il più famoso dipinto di Leonardo, avrà notato senz'altro sullo sfondo, in basso e a destra dell'enigmatica figura di Monna Lisa, un ponte. Quel ponte non è frutto della pur sfrenata fantasia del Genio, esiste veramente e si trova nella località di Buriano, a brevissima distanza dalle mura aretine. L'ardita costruzione con le sue sette arcate in stile romanico, fu realizzata nella metà del XIII secolo allo scopo di scavalcare il più importante fiume toscano e consentire il collegamento di Arezzo, attraverso l'antica via Cassia, con Firenze, Chiusi e Roma. Il giovane Arno arriva al ponte di Buriano dopo aver solcato la verdissima ed amena conca del Casentino e le sue acque sono ancora limpide e cristalline.
