Sala centrale degli appartamenti reali. Verso l'esterno veduta delle rampe settecentesche in asse con La Venaria Reale (Benedetto Alfieri 1750). Tale prospettiva è stata ottenuta facendo modificare le originarie rotte di caccia. Il tavolo da biliardo proveniente dal Castello di Moncalieri(dove Vittorio Emanuele visse ed imparò il gioco) era illuminato da un lampadario funzionante a gas. Alle pareti dieci acquerelli con le battaglie della seconda guerra di indipendenza, spesso con il re in prima fila sul suo cavallo arabo Kafif. Sulla parete sinistra un quadro (1878) di Carlo Pittara, vedutista, in celebrazione della morte di Vittorio Emanuele. vorrei farvi notare un particolare insolito che magari sfugge a prima vista: sul caminetto vi è un telefono bianco! ho fatto notare la cosa in biglietteria e mi è stato risposto che se è lì è perché serve!! e metterlo meno in vista?
