Se riesci, prova a schiarire le ombre nella parte sotto (leggermente, si deve vedere che è all'ombra  ) e il cielo un po' bruciato.
Un effetto che trovo molto interessante in questi contesti sono le lunghe esposizioni, in modo che il paese rimane fermo e le persone si muovono nelle vie. Ma avresti avuto bisogno di un filtro.

Ho provato varie combinazioni e aggiustamenti di luci e ombre e alla fine questa era la soluzione che preferivo, anche perché più simile alla condizione reale in quel momento. Schiarendo le ombre avrei alterato il mio ricordo e non mi piaceva. Le luci del cielo sono al limite ma non sono bruciate
In pp ho applicato un filtro giallo per accentuare la luce sul palazzo di destra, che è stata la principale fonte di ispirazione per questa foto.
L'effetto che dici sarebbe stato proprio bello, ma oltre al filtro avrei avuto bisogno anche del cavalletto, che purtroppo non avevo durante quella passeggiata. Comunque è una soluzione interessante da provare.

I tried various combinations and adjustments of lights and shadows, and in the end this was the preferred solution, because they are more similar to the actual condition at that time. By lightening the shadows I altered my memory and I did not like. The lights in the sky are the limit but not burned ;-)
In pp I applied a yellow filter to accentuate the light on the palace on the right, which was the main source of inspiration for this photo.
The effect you say it would be really nice, but in addition to the filter I would need also the stand, which unfortunately I did not have during that walk. However, it is an interesting solution to try.
