, 1/2500 f/2.8, ISO 200, Masai Mara, Kenya. Specie: Caracal caracal

The caracal is always a spectacle, and the photo is perfectly successful.
In the last 2/3 years in Mara these cats are really giving great satisfaction!
A curiosity: you were on safari with Veronesi?

If there has favored the nature with its grass and its clouds, your technique has made this shot more than excellent and the subject is fabulous!

Memy Hello, you're right the Mara recently allowed different situations with the Caracal. Three years earlier I had seen them in the area of ??Loita Hills, for you know that the area of ??Narok in the direction of Sekenani Gate, when you get to the village of Ngoswani, practically where the asphalt ends (you are still missing 50 minutes to Gate) Take left ... the hills to your left are the Loita Hills.
I was on safari with Faith, with whom I had the pleasure of making three, a few years ago. In Mara have been there a dozen times and several times alone. For some years now coordinating with my friends and my association volunteers to share this passion I have for Africa, for its people and for this wonderful animal world.
Thanks
Stefano

Sorry Claire, I had not forgotten,
we spent so much time with their three that afternoon, with his usual patience we managed to do all the good photos. But as you say a person is a little fairytale for difficcoltà to find it, as for Licaoni ..... or the Cheetah above the jeep ... I'm in this connection to greet Manu who commented while I was writing, which was share with me, or with the Caracal that the Cheeta on the machine and in this view of his passion for the animal cried 10 minutes of happiness. Manu Sorry if I told this, but seemed a little girl to whom they made the best gift.

Hello Memy, as I reported in my site:
"Very often we speak of Mal d'Africa ...... but if all that is evil .... I have no intention to heal!!
and then:
I consider myself a healthy carrier and so I want to infect as many people as possible!!

But in all seriousness ... The Serengeti is fabulous I've been there a couple of times, and everything is beautiful ... the crater, the whole area of ??Seronera, Ndutu I personally enjoyed a lot at the top of Lobo in all those Koopies it was a wonderful experience.
If you decide to cross the border and you need references let me know, I go there at least 3 times a year. They are among the other almost from the start that is May 9.
Hello and thank you.
Stefano

Oly Hello, Thank you .... I like to talk about my speed ... it's a little like reliving them. It 'hard to describe the feelings and emotions are very personal but I put effort and energy. When are schools for screenings or exhibitions of photos and story to the children of these beautiful animals that you grant us and allow us to see them and take them back in their traditional habits ... I tell, explain and kids hound me with questions, I answer and viaaa ... until someone taps me on the shoulder and gives me that the time has expired and the students have to go home. Maybe I'm serious!!

Bortolix ... did not have to reveal my weakness :-|

Joking aside it was exciting the cheetah on the jeep safari of the best gift, but in your safari emotions are always many, you are good at finding the right situation and the rest comes by itself. Of course you can publish the photo, God forbid :-)

Chiara I know that your envy is good now you know:-D

Oly thank you for what you say, Bortolix knows that sometimes are too sensitive, especially in hunting situations, while everyone is expecting something to happen I pray not to see the other suffer the prey :-|

Hello to all

Djluca83 Hello, Thank you. One of the things that I "had to" learn is that no matter how much ability, passion, patience and so on. you can have it also serves a lot of LUCK .... you can spend 20 times and did not see anything, HE decides to indulge in the twenty-first and the animal moves its tail, a leg and an ear you have the eye out at that point and enlighten you ...... as the most heavenly apparitions and shots like a madman.
you will see that the consistency pays many times, maybe it happens in the next trip.
Best wishes for a good light.
Stefano

Hello Max, thanks for the passage and share the satisfaction. As I said the sightings of animals difficult, Caracal, Licaoni, striped hyenas, Serval, Otocioni and several other uncommon are the lucky ones and great satisfaction cameras that try even if they are photos impossible.
Thanks
Stefano
