Il paesino di Tisana, o Tisens, in tedesco, si trova sul versante soleggiato della valle che da Castelrotto scende verso la Val d'Isarco. Questa località conta circa 150 abitanti e si trova a 930 m di altitudine. La chiesa del paese è dedicata a San Nicolò.
