at 160mm, 1/100 f/6.3, ISO 100, hand held.

La casa di legno con il lago alle spalle e l'erba sul tetto ... ferma l'auto, torna indietro a piedi e nel momento di scattare appare l'ospite ... un attimo e non c'era più ... L'ho postata esattamente come ripresa. Chiedo consigli sulla gestione della situazione, come avrei potuto migliorare la foto ed suggerimenti su tecnica di PP. Grazie a chi posta i suoi commenti ed osservazioni.

I find the pleasant tones.
To the observer it is not clear who is the subject for you priority of the scene.
The roof? the home? the squirrel? the setting?
In these cases would move quickly with these settings:
-choice point maf (for me it was the squirrel)
-priority aperture: you choose the sharpness, the blurred
-ISO safety as 400 for a better reading and for a faster shutter security

Thanks Lauro,
in fact maybe I have to stop trying to keep the iso to a minimum and take a little more margin to increase the depth of field or the shutter speed.
In cases like this, I thought to take a picture 'static' and instead the squirrel made her suddenly 'dynamic' and I had no room for maneuver for the best shot with the animal does not move.
Interesting your observation on priority subject in the picture ....

You have a good reflex Roberto, as I would always default on ISO 400, for the landscape would bring them to 200 for rirpese dynamics or low light conditions would raise him. The important thing is to have an edge in unexpected situations ;-) - (imho) laurel
