con Canon EF 2.0x III, 1/1000 f/9.0, ISO 4000, hand held. Specie: Bubo bubo

-D: -D Thanks in 1000 !! maybe we do best wishes to the two wild boys !! the area is restocking and not hunting but young people barely able to prey will be turned away from the adult female that the risks will be made high.
accidents with vehicles, high voltage cables and hunters in order ... AUGURONI BOYS !!!! I get tears in my eyes: - |

List of prey from analysis wads:
40% various rodents, mainly brown rat
30% Columbiformes and corvids, especially crows will not be happy to have a neighbor like that
20% hares, hedgehogs and other mammals including two young foxes and some weasel
10% more volatile with good presence of black kites, buzzards and other birds of prey notturni.pochi interest cinegetic type pheasants which are also abundant in the area
This shows that the owl is able to control strongly "harmful" (rodents and crows), adapting to prey + common area. that is just harmful to caccia.e shows that exerts a strong pressure on other predators taking them into numbers under control

Predasse that other birds of prey did not know ... of course with its size but ... wow!

David, birds of prey (except the great eagles) are helpless during the night by this predator. they can not easily escape and also a female goshawk (well + stronger than a buzzard) weighs 1kg. the female eagle owl adults range from 2.7 to 4 kg (northern Europe) and if you look at the claws of my previous photo you see that little mess.
also eagle owls and golden eagles also a super-predator instinct very thorough. eliminating other predators will + food for them. I read that there is a reintroduction project in Puglia but have serious doubts because the
walls where the owls would go to nest are now occupied by lanari and pilgrims have two possibilities
1-run, 2-end menu owl .... :-(

In fact, the balance of power are the ones ... I'd really like to see one, it seemed to be present in my part of the valleys of Lanzo but I never heard of sightings certain, that back in August for a while I'm going to give a controlled .. .you never know :-)

actually ... the photo needed a big cloudy, subjects were infrattati and far.
the focus is not "real" also because I climbed, I took the flight and I have moved away in 30 seconds.
although I was on the ridge opposite the risk of creating noise it was too high and therefore need to be satisfied.
I removed the HD because it was worse than better ... but I posted the photo for more naturalistic than for
another.
thanks anyway for the visit :-)

The most 'beautiful is that they are tracked, the superfoto takes second place ... I read here' and 'that even in some areas of Italy some owls had specialized in catching fish in streams, an animal really interesting, pity it is not easy individuarlo.Complimenti for your behavior in regard to this subject !!
