C'e' una aerovia che facciamo sempre andando e tornando dall'estremo oriente. E' la W112 che va dalla citta' di Hotan nel nord della Cina, a un punto chiamato PURPA, confine con il Pakistan del nord, alla quale si connette con la G325 che prosegue in direzione sud per Peshawar. Queste due aerovie passsano in pratica sul Karakoram. Generalmente si passa a circa 130 Km a nord del K2 e quindi del Baltoro, e, tra Peshawar e Purpa molto vicino al Nanga Parbat (altro 8000). Normalmente si vola di notte, e spesso non si vede nulla in quanto il tempo non sempre e' limpido e quasi sempre molto buio e senza luna. Ma questa volta tornando da Seoul in Korea de Sud, complice un ritardo in partenza, mi sono ritrovato su questa parte di mondo illuminata dalle prime luci dell'alba. E essere in aereo alla quota di crociera e vedere questi monti enormi vicini e' stato emozionante.
