L'attuale edificio ospita al suo interno opere di artisti come il Claret e il Boetto ed affreschi ottocenteschi di Luigi Hartman, Davide Ortori, Emilio Morgari e Domenico Mossello. E' presente inoltre un significativo reliquiario di San Giovenale, patrono della città. Il campanile ha invece origini quattrocentesche e venne modificato nel Seicento su disegno del Boetto con l'aggiunta di una cuspide ottagonale particolarmente raffinata.
