Il monumento funebre in marmo di Carlo Emanuele I è stato realizzato nel 1792 dai fratelli Filippo e Ignazio Collino, che lavorarono anche alla decorazione della cripta di Superga. Su un piedistallo, ai lati dell'urna funeraria, sono le allegorie della Scienza e della Fortezza. Sopra l'urna è posta l'immancabile clessidra con le ali e ancora più in alto due puttini reggono il drappo funebre.
