Anche io ho provato qualche volta a fotografare un termometro simile, ma senza mai ottenere risultati convincenti .... Bello il campo scuro e quello chiaro che si invertono all'interno del tubo !

) a questo lo ottieni con luci da studio.
Il colore grigio a destra è pura ombra; non c'è intervento in PP.
Il soggetto era anche illuminato da sotto e vi erano pannelli di plexiglass a fare da schermatura alla luce.
La foto è stata realizzata grazie all'ausilio di questa attrezzatura durante un work shop di still life pubblicitario.

Luca do not fret: -D .... a similar result (even better ;-)) to get this with the studio lights.
The gray color right is pure shadow; there is no intervention in PP.
The subject was also lit from underneath and there were panels of plexiglass to act as shielding the light.
The photo was made with the help of this equipment during a work shop of still life advertising.
