Per quanto riguarda il 70-300 posso dire che mi ci sono sempre trovato bene, tempo fa presi il 70-200 2.8 II e pensavo che avrei venduto il 70-300 invece non me la sono sentita perchè è davvero un'ottima lente, la qualità costruttiva è quanto di meglio ci si possa aspettare, per me anche meglio del 70-200, il suo ingombro ridotto permette di portarla nella borsa molto più agevolmente del biancone.
Per me questo ultimo aspetto è molto importante, comprerei volentieri il nuovo 100-400 ma peso ed ingombro mi fanno restare con il 70-300.

As for the 70-300 I can say that I have always enjoyed it there, long ago taken the 70-200 2.8 II and thought I'd sold the 70-300 instead I did not felt because it's a really good lens, the Build quality is the best that can be expected, for me even better than 70-200, its small footprint allows you to carry it in your bag much more smoothly the harrier.
To me this last aspect is very important, willingly I would buy the new 100-400 but weight and size make me stay with the 70-300.
