Il soffitto dell'anticamera. In questo palazzo visitandolo lo si trova stranamente spoglio quasi totalmente di mobili ma una ragione c'è: per far fronte agli impegni economici della Fondazione Barolo, appena dopo la morte della Marchesa Giulia avvenuta nel 1864, la maggior parte di mobili e quadri venne venduta. Nella ristrutturazione delle stanze di Silvio Pellico ripristinati i colori originali nei dipinti sulla volta dell'anticamera di Michele Brambilla, in quelli nella camera da letto, opera dei pittori Lamberti e Trevisani, e nelle sovrapporte di Cignaroli. I restauratori, coordinati da Carmen Rossi, con la supervisione scientifica delle soprintendenze ai beni storico artistici e architettonici, hanno operato anche su infissi di legno, ferramenti e boiseries, sui camini e paracamini, oltre che sul rivestimento in tessuto delle pareti. La volta in legno, scolpito e dorato da M. Crotti, e gli stucchi del fregio, realizzati da P. Somasso, inquadrano le tele dipinte da G.B. Brambilla.La tela centrale della volta rappresenta il rapimento di Cefalo tentato da Aurora (una allegoria della fedeltà coniugale), mentre le tele laterali mostrano le quattro stagioni sotto forma di "putti".
