L'azione dell'Opera si concretizza in una serie di progetti di sostegno a situazioni di necessità, con l'obiettivo nello stesso tempo di superare il bisogno immediato, per dotare le persone di strumenti che ne valorizzino la dignità. L'intuizione centrale, modernissima, dei Marchesi di Barolo è stata creare un legame tra assistenza, educazione e cultura. Linee strategiche dell'Opera. Sulla base della storia del carisma e per la prosecuzione delle idee dei Marchesi di Barolo, le priorità e gli indirizzi strategici della loro Opera sono: - investire sulle giovani generazioni, offrendo loro formazione; - promuovere lo sviluppo del capitale umano presente in Città e nei propri territori; - mettere a disposizione risorse economiche e progettuali per il miglioramento delle condizioni di vita delle fasce più deboli della popolazione, la loro autodeterminazione e il loro processo di crescita; - connettere la Cultura e le Arti con lo sviluppo sociale - sviluppare la cooperazione pubblico-privato per contribuire ad un welfare più efficace e moderno; - far dialogare mondi e culture.
