La chiesa di San Dalmazzo, situata nel cuore della città in Via delle Orfane, è una delle più antiche di Torino.Sin dall'anno mille abbiamo notizia di un preesistente edificio religioso a pianta basilicale dedicato a San Dalmazzo martire, collocato proprio sull'attuale Via Garibaldi.Dal 1271, la chiesa è affidata ai frati Ospitalieri di Sant'Antonio, e nel 1606 ai Barnabiti (ordine religioso fondato a Milano nel 1530 da Sant'Antonio Maria Zaccaria), che provvederanno nel 1702 alla costruzione della facciata, all'ampliamento della parte interna, alla costruzione della cappella della Madonna di Loreto (tra il 1629 ed il 1631), a imitazione della casa della Vergine presente a Loreto. La chiesa è un edificio a struttura basilicale a tre navate; ai lati delle navate laterali si aprono otto nicchie con altari.La navata centrale è caratterizzata dalla presenza, nella sua parte superiore, di figure ad encausto per opera del pittore Enrico Reffo rappresentanti vedove, penitenti, vergini e martiri. Di notevole pregio è il pulpito di marmo di Carrara che reca l'effigie del parroco Filippo Montuoro a ricordo della grandiosa opera di rinnovamento dell'edificio. L'altare è sormontato da un baldacchino di marmo retto da quattro colonne.
