Nella foto vedete una delle feste che si tengono nel Parco dei Nebrodi. La festa in questione è quella che si tiene a Militello Rosmarino(ME) il 3 febbraio in onore del santo patrono S.Biagio. Il momento che vedete è quando il santo viene issato a braccia per poi metterlo sulle spalle. La macchina processionale che vedete (che contiene il santo) viene chiamata "vara" in siciliano ossia un fercolo, opera di fine XVI sec., mentre la statua viene datata XVII-XVIII sec.Caratteristica di tale festa è il correre col santo, allorchè i portatori,giunti nella piazza principale del paese si slanciano in una spettacolare corsa.La corsa si ripete in altro punto del paese. La festa è replicata il 25 agosto.
