Saint-Tropez e' situata sulla punta di una penisola battuta dal vento ed il paesaggio è caratterizzato da luce e colori assolutamente unici che hanno attirato gia' dalla fine dell' '800 molti pittori impressionisti e post impressionisti ( opere di Signac e Matisse sono esposte al Musee de l'Annonciade in faccia al porto vecchio ) . Jovanovic è una "istituzione" che dipinge ed espone le suo opere , d'estate , sul porto proprio in faccia al museo da molto tempo : io l'ho visto sempre lì , anno dopo anno : la sua pittura , sempre personale , mai ripetitiva , rappresenta ( IMHO ) il miglior esempio dell' impressionismo locale .
