I do not know if it's a sick little egret or a new species, the fact remains that the shot is fantastic, congratulations.

Grazia Gabriele e Paolo, le altre garzette le scacciavano in continuazione.

Super Frank;-)

Super Frank ;-)
The distinguishing features are all of the little egret, the colors give me the 'idea of ??a victim of the spill of kerosene, even the gaps of feathers on the nape I suggest that it is not in good health unfortunately.
It remains to be seen whether the other egrets chase away because they do not recognize as their own species or for fear of a possible disease ...

Grazie a tutti.

Thank you all.
I noticed that only drove out the egrets, a species in particular that started from afar and pointing scacciandola, while egrets, herons and spoonbills were indifferent to his presence, except for a spatula, as the photo insiema the egret, that while he was intent on fishing at the sight of the little egret stopped observing curious its passage and follow it for a while with his eyes.
A lthough it gives me the impression that it is found in the middle of the spill of diesel a few months ago.

Ciao Franco,

Hello Franco,
just saw me has come to mind that this could be a specimen smeared with oil.
Roby now is that you speak of diesel / kerosene, a beautiful "spun" and back white as new.
Luckily judging by shooting, however, as always beautiful, feeding quietly alone.
He'll certainly.
Best wishes Robertino
