Sad consideration but to save the lives of these beautiful mammals, when I see them always think of dinosaurs, researchers mozzano their horns. Thus poachers have no reason to kill them. The horn is made of keratin, the material of the nails; in a few months to grow back and then you cut back. I remember that until some time ago, the species was considered high risk. Today, fortunately, the "white" is picking up a little 'less than the "black". Clearly they lose all their charm but life has much more and ultimately to blame poor people is not them but the most stupid animal that lives on earth ?? .. man.

Hello Paul, shooting very nice, always the Top, rigurdo your sad view, which I share, and I follow in prticolar way, because I am more and more convinced that the worst parasite of the Earth is Man, I read about that are experimenting with a new method, that is sprayed with the dye fuchsia horns, with the ignezioni, such a substance would be too toxic x humans (vomiting and diarrhea) but not for the rhinos, we hope !!
Article on nationalgeographic this month.

Beautiful specimen, for me one of the mammals' most charming, a real glue between prehistory and the rest of the days ours, where in many cases We represent the problem and worst evil !!
Says Daniba I also saw the testing of these dyes, honestly if I choose a type of intervention best cutting Horn, always ugly but less than the color really impossible !!!
Greetings, Diego

26 # 39; man is the arbiter of fate, his and other living things.
Thank you all for interventions.

Bella foto ...

I worked 13 years in the CITES (Italy and the European Commission) and I know what the problems of conservation of rhinos and other species are also quite pessimistic ... unfortunately, the situation is dire ..
Nice picture ...

Gianni I agree, the public often photo-document to keep alive the discussion and interest, the important thing is to sensitize people to the preservation of the planet at all levels, from animal welfare to deforestation, from unnecessary overbuilding state of seas and oceans. Where I come from they say "my wheel" ....... not give up, never ;-)
