La Erebia medusa, una farfalla che nel periodo di fine maggio primi di giugno, è possibile vedere volare facilmente. Questa è stata fotografata nell'appennino Ligure, nei pressi di Alpe di Vobbia. E' una delle Erebie più facili in assoluto da fotografare, in quanto predilige posarsi su erba e fiori, ed il suo volo non è agitato come accade per le altre Erebie.
